About the practice

An independent practice, not a chain

Thames Valley Hearing was set up in 2011 by two audiologists, Priya Shah and David Moore.

We are independent. No hearing aid maker owns us, so we recommend whichever aid suits you, from any of the main makers.

Our clinic is on the ground floor, with step-free access, a hearing loop at the desk and free parking outside.

Step 1: Book a check

Call us or ask at the desk. Most people are seen within a week.
Step 2: Your hearing check

45 minutes. We look in your ears, test your hearing and show you the results on a chart.
Step 3: Your options

If your hearing is fine, we say so. If aids would help, we show you two or three, with prices.
Step 4: Fitting and aftercare

We fit your aids, check them after two weeks and see you every year at no charge.

The hearing check is free. Everything else has a fixed price, given to you in writing before you agree to anything.
